Welcome to a personal bubble. This is my drop-box of thoughts I can’t get rid of the less I share them. Hopefully it will be interesting for someone else as well.
I am a quite normal Norwegian girl studying people’s way of living. Even though we’re simple creatures, I find us pretty hard to understand. This blog was created in 2011, when I left comfort zone aiming for personal and cultural refill in the Middle East. I was working for an organization activating for just peace in occupied palestinian territories. By running the awareness project called the ‘Olive Tree Campaign’, the organization invites people from all over the world to take part in the Palestinian struggle for freedom of movement and the right to land, and support local farmers of the West Bank.
The experiences from Middle East gave me a booster to accomplish my law studies; a master program of European law, human rights and asylum law in the Netherlands. Now I’m working as an attorney in a small law firm in Oslo and contributing to solve my clients issues. Tiny ones, compared to Middle East, but major for the people affected. Anyhow, what I’ve seen of suffering and mistrust in Palestine gives me the motivation to work for a deeper understanding between conflicting parties.
The travel of life gives me the opportunity to explore unknown realities, and dig deeper into human complexity – without any return ticket. Let me quote Morpheus from the Matrix: “This is your chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes”.
I hope you will join me. I need your company.
